When it comes to balancing motherhood, entrepreneurship, and creating a global impact, Margo Jordan—founder and CEO of Enrichly—has a story that is a testament to resilience, purpose, and the power of dreaming big. Whether she’s walking on stage, leading her team, or spending time with her kids, she’s proof that vision and determination can create legacies that last a lifetime.
Q: What’s the biggest sacrifice you’ve made running your own business?
The biggest sacrifice I’ve made is time with my children. Running a startup is like raising another child. While it’s tough, I’m grateful my kids understand that when mommy is away, she’s building something meaningful. They know it’s not just for us but to leave a legacy that impacts other children.
Q: How many children do you have, and what are their ages?
I have four kids: 13, 10, 5, and a 13-month-old. They’re all incredible in their own ways, and watching them grow makes all the sacrifices worthwhile.
Q: What do you hope your children take away from your entrepreneurial journey?
I want them to see that they’re part of something bigger. I hope they understand that this company is about creating positive change for kids everywhere, especially those who may have grown up like I did. My dream is for them to inherit something meaningful and impactful that they’re proud to carry forward.
Q: Has vulnerability ever helped you in business?
I’ve learned there’s power in vulnerability, and I share that with my kids and my team. It’s important for them to see that even though I have moments of self-doubt, I push through.
Being vulnerable allows me to connect on a deeper level—whether with my team or an audience. When I admit mistakes, it sets the tone for accountability. That transparency helps build trust and a culture where growth is prioritized over perfection.
Q: What do you do when you face self-doubt?
I have hype songs! One of my go-to songs is “I Am Woman”. It’s empowering and helps me tap into my strength. I’ll go for a walk or hit the gym while listening to that or a motivational podcast. It recharges me and reminds me that mistakes are okay—they’re part of the process.
Q: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Don’t get caught up in the destination—embrace the journey. I used to focus so much on reaching goals that I missed everything in between. When I started savoring the process, I found more joy and less pressure.
Q: How do you practice self-confidence?
Self-esteem is like a muscle—you have to work on it daily. My top three tips are:
1. Gratitude: Write down what you’re thankful for.
2. Set healthy boundaries: Learn to say no without guilt.
3. Practice a positive mindset: Reframe negative thoughts with positive outcomes.
Q: What’s been your greatest success, personal or professional?
My greatest success has to be the ability to instill meaningful values and strong character in my children. As a parent, you always hope you’re leaving a positive imprint on your kids, and seeing those values come to life in their actions is deeply rewarding.
One moment that stands out is when my 13-year-old son saved a young girl from drowning at the pool. He noticed she was struggling, while the lifeguards were distracted, and without hesitation, he pulled her out of the water. It was a moment of pride for me to see his courage, quick thinking, and sense of responsibility.
Then there’s my 10-year-old, who competes in trampoline and tumbling. He used to struggle with losing—like, really struggle. At a national competition recently, he completely flopped a routine he had been practicing for months. But instead of giving up, he finished the competition with grace and resilience. Watching him grow into someone who can face setbacks with strength brought me to tears.
My 5-year-old travels with me a lot for work, and I’ve watched her quietly step into leadership roles, like encouraging shy kids to participate or helping others feel included. And my youngest, though just 13 months, reminds me every day of how much joy, curiosity, and love there is to be shared.
These moments remind me that while professional achievements are important—and I’m incredibly proud of building Enrichly—the true legacy I’m leaving is in the values and lessons I’m passing on to my children. They are growing into thoughtful, courageous, and kind people who I know will make a difference in the world. That, to me, is the greatest success I could ever achieve.
Q: What’s next for Enrichly?
We’re scaling globally! Currently, we’re in four countries, and I’m excited to expand further. Our goal is to impact kids worldwide and collaborate with organizations like Unilever to amplify self-esteem education with technology.
Q: What does Catalyst’s support mean to you?
Everything. Their belief in us as a startup and their recognition of the problem we’re solving fuels our mission. Catalyst’s partnership not only gives us credibility but also helps us grow and scale to impact even more lives.
