At Venture Atlanta, our panel “AI in Healthcare: Separating Fiction from Functional” got real about what it takes to make innovation work in the health system. Moderated by Jaimie Clark of Catalyst by Wellstar, panelists Jason Kuo (Tech Square Ventures), Virginie Raphael (FullCircle), and Lauren Oyster (Catalyst by Wellstar) shared insights on what drives meaningful adoption. The group discussed how Catalyst’s ability to pilot solutions within a health system helps startups validate solutions, the need for founders to show ROI to investors quickly, and how tighter budgets are fueling the demand for AI that delivers real, research-backed results.
Catalyst will be activating throughout the city of Atlanta’s InnovATL initiative in October 2025.

This panel will explore what truly works in healthcare AI, examining opportunities and hurdles for implementation in complex care environments and insights for investors evaluating AI-enabled healthcare startups. Join us on Thursday, October 16th from 9:45-10:30AM in the Circle Room.
We kicked off Venture Atlanta Conference week by welcoming the Tech Village to Tech Square ATL tour to the Catalyst Innovation Center, a showcase of Atlanta’s vibrant and growing innovation ecosystem. Guests toured our space, heard from industry leaders like Hank Capps, MD FAAFP, and got an inside look at how Catalyst by Wellstar is supporting founders and scaling healthcare innovation across the region.
Catalyst is excited to participate in Avant South, a joint initiative of the City of Atlanta and Atlanta colleges and universities, designed to position Atlanta as a top 5 technology and entrepreneurial ecosystem in the nation. We’ll be featured on the panel “From Zero to Flow: Building Scalable Supply Chains from Day One,” sharing insights on creating efficient, scalable supply chains from day one alongside founders and industry leaders.
