Jaimie Clark Named One of Modern Healthcare’s 40 Under 40

Jaimie Clark, co-founder and Head of Innovation at Catalyst by Wellstar, and the Director of Innovation and Venture Strategy for Wellstar Health System, has been named to Modern Healthcare’s 40 Under 40 list, which recognizes the industry’s up-and-coming leaders.  After serving in progressive consumer and innovation roles at Novant Health in Digital Health and Engagement, Jaimie joined Wellstar Health System to prepare for the launch of Catalyst by Wellstar, the first-of-its-kind innovation company and venture firm created by one of the largest health systems in Georgia. She has developed and led the innovation operating model for Catalyst by Wellstar and implemented a proof-of-concept and pilot process integrated into Wellstar Health System, a $7B health system.

In less than three years, Catalyst by Wellstar has built a team of unique experts who have launched a venture fund and new products. The team has negotiated, executed, and managed strategic partnerships, pilot projects, enterprise agreements and numerous direct investments. Jaimie is also active in the Atlanta venture community and serves on the Selection Committee for Engage, an innovation platform and venture fund comprised of a partnership of category-leading corporations.

With this award, Jaimie joins a select group of the healthcare industry’s rising stars aged 40 and under who contribute to a culture of innovation and help their organizations achieve and exceed financial, operational, and clinical goals.

“They are the rising stars who will propel the industry forward with a focus on innovation, efficiency, affordability and compassion,” said Mary Ellen Podmolik, editor-in-chief of Modern Healthcare.

“I’m humbled to be recognized by Modern Healthcare but must highlight and honor the Catalyst team who make the magic happen every day to deliver on the mission. Our team is driven to find solutions, go after the next big idea, raise problems, and always think of improving lives,” Jaimie said. “They are experts in our six strategic focus areas, from Care of Tomorrow all the way to Sustainability, and we’re pursuing innovations that will have a real impact on people in our communities – and beyond.”

In addition to over a dozen pilot projects utilizing immersive audio, virtual reality and Web3 data platforms, Catalyst has made key direct investments that will have a direct impact on patient lives.
